2017 Music Fest

Avenue 8

Saturday, June 17th at 3:00 PM

Avenue Eight are a ten piece funk pop outfit made up of college students hailing from in and around the great city of Philadelphia. Having been compared to the likes of artists ranging from Chicago to Bruno Mars, Avenue Eight boasts a truly unique and fresh sound which they achieve through their affinity for the creation of catchy hooks, funky grooves, and a dynamic horn section. The diversity of band members, a tight knit group consisting of family members, childhood friends and high school classmates ensures that their signature sound is never the result of any one influence.

The past two years have seen Avenue Eight perform all across the Philadelphia and New York areas, headlining in packed venues and also opening for top national acts, including the Walters and BØRNS.

The release of their debut EP Get up on the Get Down last November resulted in a wide array of a positive coverage from college newspapers across the country, as well earned them various accolades including Rock on Philly’s Artist of the Month and Altwire’s Artist to Watch.

A band that can only be fully experienced in live performance, Avenue Eight continues to prove itself as an exciting new presence in today’s music scene, always adhering to a single mantra: Make them dance!
