Ndichu is an original 8-piece funk and soul band based in Philly.
Charlie Ingui from the Soul Survivors is joining NDichu’s set. Charlie and his brother Richie had the first number one hit for Gamble and Huff (Expressway to your Heart). They went on to tour with legendary acts such as Sly and the Family Stone, Janis Joplin, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, etc. Their song was rated the best to ever come out of Philly. Five members of the Soul Survivor band will be present to support Charlie.
Delivering sensational vocals, tightly wound horn lines, and hefty amounts of high-powered funk. The unit features some of the area’s finest musicians, many of whom have toured or shared the stage with national acts. Kenyan-born lead singer/songwriter, Liz Ndichu, is what sets the band apart from all the others. Her dynamic presence and incomparable vocals provide the perfect combination of sight and sound, breathing life into every carefully crafted song. Spanning many different genres, including soul, funk, world, fusion, and rock.
